Traditional ceiling tiles can come in two forms, suspended or acoustic. Suspended ceiling tiles are easier to install because they’re simply hung from the ceiling, whereas acoustic ceiling tiles need to be secured to wooden beams below the existing structure in order to prevent them from rattling with loud noises like an industrial kitchen exhaust fan or a passing train outside.
